Canada has lost an Environmental Hero

With sadness the Friends of Temagami has lost a Charter Member, and Founder Terry Graves on March 31, 2017. Our thoughts and condolences to Terry’s family, friends and compatriots. We are grateful for Terry’s work, dedication, and for laying the framework that is now our organization.

“Canada has lost a great eco-warrior, an unsung hero of the front line environmental movement - Terry Graves...friend, compatriot, father, husband. Terry was the co-founder of the Temagami Wilderness Society (now Earthroots, Toronto), in 1986. Terry, unlike many well-known activists, had candour, selfless passion and humility and fought the good fight for all the right reasons. Terry knew life and love and will be well missed.”
