Alex Mathias, a Temagami Elder, shares stories about his early life growing up on Obabika Lake, within his family (Misa’bi) territory in the Temagami region. The Misa’bi territory is one of fourteen original family territories in the Temagami area. The stories are presented here in print form as a result of Alex asking Chris to help with transforming what have always been oral stories to a written form.
